Moena is situated at the entrance to the Fassa Valley, nestling between Valaccia and the Latemar massif. Moena is the valley's biggest city and commonly known as the "Fairy of the Dolomites".
Moena is a great place to go shopping and to enjoy regional specialties in the numerous gourmet restaurants. There are tasty "specialties-weeks" in September and January.
In summertime the mountains around Moena are a superb playground for adventurers. From excursions, over horse trekking to mountain bike tours, everything is possible. Every year in September the "Rampilonga" takes place in Moena. It's Italy's biggest Mountainbike-Marathon. About 4.500 athlets participate each year.
If you like wintertime Moena is the right place for you! The skiing areas of Alpe Luisa and of Trevalli are within a reach of a few minutes. In addition the skiing area is connected to the skiing resort Obereggen Latemar. Cross-country skiers find interesting runs in the cross-country ski center Alochet on the San Pellegrino Pass.
